Abhi Ingle

Abhi is in charge of the Ecosystem and Innovation organization at AT&T whose charter is to sharpen AT&T’s focus on innovation both internally and externally, with an emphasis on speed, agility, and working with external ecosystems such as venture capital firms, start ups, and developers.  Abhi is responsible for driving innovation at AT&T incorporating employee ideas from one of the world’s largest crowd-sourced employee innovation program – The Innovation Pipeline (TIP).  His organization is also responsible for operating the global network of AT&T Foundries where a combination of design thinking, open collaboration and agile development can bring ideas to life rapidly.

Prior to this role, Abhi led the Industry & Mobility Application Solutions (IMAS) team, responsible for mobile application and M2M solutions for the AT&T business customer segment.  His team worked with Line of Business, IT and vertical industry executives to define, design and deploy business solutions that helped corporations and government agencies wirelessly enable their business applications.

Preceding IMAS, Abhi led the Business Solutions marketing and products organization, overseeing wireless data products and marketing programs for business customers.  His team was focused on industry marketing, managed all PDAs and data centric smartphones and developed the strategy for all laptop connectivity products such as modem cards and WiFi.  Abhi also had primary responsibility for the launch of next generation wireless technologies such as EDGE and UMTS/HSPA into the overall business data market.

Before joining AT&T, Abhi was VP of marketing at Collation, where he was instrumental in formulating the business plan and launching the company, VP, Marketing and Product Management at Covad Communications, a DSL-based provider of high speed internet access where he built the Covad brand and played a key role in financial restructuring, and worked for several years at McKinsey and Company where he served technology, consumer package goods and financial services clients on strategy, marketing and sales engagements.

Abhi is a regularly featured speaker and panelist at many mobility and industry specific conferences.  Abhi has an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and earned his BA with high honors in Computer Science and Mathematics from Oberlin College.
