As value marketing manager for AT&T mobility business solutions, Asmara develops and leads marketing strategy, matching AT&T mobility offerings in consulting, outsourcing and development with enterprise client needs. Asmara has been with AT&T for more than 20 years, and he’s an expert at adapting legacy systems to today’s multi-device environment, where enterprises must balance security and privacy needs with users accessing applications and networks from laptops, smart phones, tablets. He helps clients implement application interfaces that are approachable for a wide range of user skill levels, with support for multi-mobile operating systems, including Apple, Android, Windows Mobile and Blackberry.

A native of Indonesia, Asmara speaks Bahasa, Malay, Thai and a number of Chinese dialects. He credits his experience as an Asian working in America with his abilities to offer unique perspective for managers hesitant to changing culture and provide valuable insight for enterprises needing to automate processes for diverse groups of users. Asmara started his career with mobile application and product solutions for major business and government clientele at IPS (Intelligent Processing Systems), and soon advanced to managing teams selling enterprise solutions. Before coming to AT&T, he worked with Cingular Wireless, developing and implementing sales strategy methods, including funnel analysis, dashboard systems and sales processes to allow sales leaders to evaluate potential growth. He managed direct retail stores, telesales and B2B sales channels and was named top sales management at BellSouth Cellular Corp.

Asmara holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Management Information Systems from California State University of Bakersfield. In his free time, he keeps up to date with technology and reads crime novels and mysteries. He also enjoys travel and learning about other cultures, playing sports with his kids and listening to jazz, easy-listening and contemporary music. Playing golf and walking the course in the early morning he finds particularly relaxing.
