Sander has been with AT&T for 18 years in a variety of situations, but he always loves interacting with people whatever the situation. Currently, he does a lot with clients in the airline industry. In the past, much interaction with clients, like airlines, would focus on selecting a particular phone system. Today, as Sander related to me, the interaction is much more involved at a higher level. He works with his clients to help them discover innovative, out-of-the-box options for non-traditional revenue generation. As these options are explored, select technologies emerge as possibilities.
This team approach to helping clients suits this outgoing, solution provider just fine. He enjoys the human interaction even more than the technology. He says his favorite technology is — get this — the paperclip. He makes a strong case for it. It is simple. It works. It is useful. This is how technology should he, Sander believes. It should be simple, easy to use and solve problems. Sounds like a most reasonable approach.
For the future, he is looking forward to technologies like Near Field Communications, and electronic payments via a digital wallet. As these emerge, it seems highly likely that Sander will be there to help clients select the appropriate, customized solution for their needs.
We welcome Sander Biehn at the Networking Exchange Blog and look forward to his insights, stories and instruction.
