From diagnosis to treatment and follow-up, motion images of the heart play a central role in cardiac care for Henry Ford Health System, one of the nation’s largest integrated healthcare systems. The files are large, and Henry Ford could not spare the funding to build its own backup storage. What’s more, these highly personal medical records would have to be fully secured, using the firewalls, sign-in protocols, time-outs and other security parameters required by federal law, and protected for years against loss or disaster.
