David Hildebrant has created, launched and managed mobile applications that have generated over $1.5B in annual revenue for AT&T. A key architect in transforming AT&T into a “Platform-as-a-Service” leader, David’s successful programs include third-party mobile applications, APIs, M2M and platform services. David’s strategic vision and product leadership have resulted in successful commercialization of a wide range of award-winning enterprise products including AT&T Navigator, AT&T Maps, AT&T Location Information Services, Global Smart Messaging Suite, AT&T Business Messaging and mobility offers for M2M, transportation, retail analytics, asset tracking and enterprise mobility APIs. A rare combination of successful entrepreneur and big company change agent, David leads innovation and strategic offers within a $130B wireless carrier, driving products and services that often cross the chasm between AT&T’s 120M subscribers and over a million businesses, all through mobile, the cloud and API platforms.
Prior to AT&T, David served as President & CEO of MindFunnel, a technology patent Commercialization Company, named in 2005 as a CTEK Fast 50 Startup to Watch. David sourced and led patent development and revenue in areas including server-based software applications, GPS location solutions and personal navigation capabilities for mobile devices. David was previously Vice President of Strategic Marketing/National Director of Field Marketing at ICG Communications (now Level 3), where he drove new product development with partners such as Cisco, Covad, and Lucent, and drove over $20M in new ISP revenue. Prior to that, David held positions as Global Sales Support Manager for MCI WorldCom, and Director of Business Development for OSCG.
David holds several patents in utility technologies. He is a graduate of the Executive Development Program at the University of Washington, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He also holds several technical certifications including Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) and Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA). David is an avid rock musician and lives outside of Dallas, Texas. He is a member of the Rockies Venture Group and the Northern Colorado Idea Lab (NCIL).
