Cybersecurity conference brings industry leaders together

In the last year alone, 62 percent of organizations reported a security breach.

Cybercriminals are becoming more efficient, more agile, more creative, and more pervasive. And cyberattacks cost our global economy about $445 million in 2015.

With cybersecurity becoming such a critical issue for companies, it’s essential that business leaders and security experts convene and educate one another on the latest trends and issues facing today’s organizations.

That’s why we hold the AT&T Cybersecurity Conference each year – to work together and try to keep ahead of cyberattackers. Combining the efforts of executives, IT personnel, and industry leaders helps us better equip our organizations to manage cyberthreats and develop cutting-edge solutions.

This year, the 18th annual AT&T Cybersecurity Conference will bring AT&T leaders together with other experts to discuss new technologies that can help detect attacks, protect network infrastructure, and prepare for new security threats created by emerging technologies. The conference will address the latest trends affecting organizations of all sizes, as well as the challenges security professionals are currently working to address.

The conference is set for Oct. 24-25 at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City’s Times Square and will feature keynote remarks from leading cybersecurity experts, including:

  • Robert Herjavec: Cybersecurity pioneer and star of the hit television show “Shark Tank”
  • Michael Coates: Chief information security officer for Twitter
  • John Donovan: Chief strategy officer and group president of technology and operations for AT&T

The conference will kick off with a welcome reception from Fortinet, a silent charity auction to benefit CyberPatriot’s initiative to attract students and young professionals into cybersecurity and technology, and a networking experience in the middle of New York’s Times Square. After a day of keynotes and breakout sessions, the conference will conclude with a reception hosted by Blue Coat and a book signing with Herjavec.

As cyberattacks continue to dominate the headlines, AT&T is bringing the cybercommunity together to understand and help protect against malicious adversaries and attacks. We sincerely hope you’ll join us.
