Business Continuity and the Cloud

Business continuity continues to be top of mind for businesses in Europe. In fact, according to AT&T’s London-based business continuity survey, nearly three quarters (73%) of companies are calling business continuity a priority in 2011, and almost half of them are seriously thinking about using cloud technology to help them deal these types of disruptive events.

With this back-drop, last week we hosted our latest Network Disaster Recovery exercise, this time in London. The event brought together customers, elected officials and press to discuss the importance of network preparedness and to demonstrate the steps AT&T regularly takes to support its customers.

The event was also attended by Télécoms Sans Frontières, the leading international humanitarian organization specializing in emergency communications. TSF demonstrated its equipment and best practices, deployed in response teams to disasters around the world, which are supported by AT&T across the globe.

The infographic below highlights additional findings from the survey, including that 27% of those polled have had to activate their plans.

What are your thoughts? Have you built cloud strategies and solutions into your recovery plans?
