Getting smart about cybersecurity

Cybersecurity is not just a CIO or CSO issue. Protecting your company’s critical assets is a responsibility that everyone – from front-line employees up to the CEO and board of directors – must bear. Volume 1 of AT&T Cybersecurity Insights report examines the potential threats that may lurk within your organization and offers best practices for preventing – or quickly resolving – attacks on your business.

Now it’s time to hear from you on such an important topic. So we’ve scheduled a series of Twitter chats that will allow you to join the discussion on cybersecurity. Here’s the schedule:

  • Threat Awareness: Code Red! (Tuesday, Oct. 27, 3-4 p.m. EST): A critical part of any cybersecurity strategy is building awareness across the entire workforce. We’ll discuss highly successful tactics for educating employees about how to protect sensitive information, along with the role the CEO and board of directors must play in reinforcing the cybersecurity mandate.
  • Building a Business Case for Cybersecurity (Tuesday, Nov. 3, 3-4 p.m. EST): A successful cybersecurity strategy requires a broad mix of tools, technologies, and intelligence. We’ll discuss ways that security professionals can talk to senior leadership teams, in terms leadership will understand, to help obtain the ongoing investments needed to stay one step ahead of the bad guys.
  • Emerging Threats: What’s Next? (Tuesday, Nov. 10, 3-4 p.m. EST): Is the Internet of Things the new weakest link in your defenses? We’ll discuss the growing threat of attacks on smartphones and other intelligent devices connected to corporate networks – and the steps you can take now to reduce the risk as these devices become ubiquitous.

We hope you can join us for what promises to be a series of educational Twitter chats. Please use the hashtag #ATTcyberinsights to participate.
