Give your business network a boost with MetroCell

Looking for better in-building network coverage for your business? Maybe it’s difficult to connect with team members working on the loading dock or in the basement. Our new AT&T MetroCell gives you the enhanced coverage and quality to stay connected—even in hard-to-reach places.

AT&T MetroCell is a true enterprise-grade self-install network solution. That means you can expand and improve your dedicated indoor coverage flexibly and easily. Have a growing business? No problem. You can easily add another AT&T MetroCell to increase coverage as your business grows. Plus, if you move locations, you can take it with you.

How does it work?

  • It’s an out-of-the-box solution that’s easy to set up. An online portal takes you step-by-step through the registration, activation, and management of your AT&T MetroCell.
  • It allows up to 64 simultaneous voice and data sessions.
  • It supports multiple voice technologies, including HD Voice (VoLTE) and 3G smartphones.
  • It covers up to 15,000 square feet per MetroCell; up to 3 AT&T MetroCells per location.

Another advantage of our AT&T MetroCell is that it integrates with existing business applications like AT&T Enhanced Push to Talk (EPTT). AT&T EPTT lets you communicate with the touch of a button. When your in-building signal is weak, it can be hard to connect through AT&T EPTT.  Adding an AT&T MetroCell gives you the extra coverage boost so you can respond quickly.

I love this success story from one of our first AT&T MetroCell customers, BOMAG. BOMAG’s new facility was built with high-efficiency materials and in a remote location. This made it difficult for employees and customers to stay connected and conduct their business. Adding the AT&T MetroCell solution gave them the reliable connectivity they needed to cover both the office and manufacturing areas. BOMAG says the units were easy to install and are very pleased with the solution.

This is just the beginning of our AT&T MetroCell roadmap. I’m excited about additional updates later this year, including whitelisting capabilities.  Whitelisting may be a new term to you, but it’s a game changer. You can ID which phone numbers access the AT&T MetroCell, helping to secure your network and enhance your employees’ experience. And early next year, capacity will expand for up to 96 simultaneous voice and data sessions. The best part is the AT&T MetroCell you get today can update as the product capabilities change.
