Help us mold the future. Enter the AT&T Shape Challenge.

Have a groundbreaking technology that can augment a network? Creating tech that can make our cities smarter? Want to add a new “thing” to the Internet of Things (IoT)? Your project might just change the way we live, work, or play. And we want to see it.

AT&T recently created the Shape Challenge, an open innovation contest to inspire, showcase, and celebrate pure technological advancement, offering contestants an opportunity to compete for a $125,000 prize pool. We’re seeking submissions from technologists, innovators, and students that highlight emerging technologies and new innovations across three domains:

1. Augmented networks. Submit a solution to a network or content delivery challenge, whether it’s mobile, satellite, Wi-Fi, or wireline. We’ll consider all submissions that use or contribute to AT&T technologies.

2. Smart cities. The cities of tomorrow are at the heart of a more sustainable future filled with continued economic growth and new job creation. Inspire us with technology that solves for one of the countless challenges cities face.

3. Connected things. Smartphones have been game-changers, but they represent just a fraction of the things that keep the world connected. Show us connected tech that explores new forms and unexpected functions. This new “thing” can connect through mobile, satellite, Wi-Fi, or wireline.

Finalists will be picked from the pool of applicants and will have the chance to win the $50,000 best overall prize, gain buzz for their projects, and pitch live at AT&T Park in San Francisco on July 15-16.

You have until May 6 to submit your innovation. You must have at least a working prototype. Visit the Shape Challenge web page for complete details and to enter.

Open to U.S. residents of majority age. Enter by 5/6/16. Void where prohibited. Subject to official rules available here.
