Summertime is a great time to travel, and chances are if you are one of the millions taking a plane, train, or automobile on vacation this summer, you will be staying at a hotel. Like you, my expectations of a hotel stay have changed in the last few years.

Today, my family wants and needs to be connected everywhere we go. We expect fast connections over Wi-Fi, both inside the room and on property. While we’re on vacation, my family is watching videos and playing games on multiple mobile devices while I’m doing email on my phone (yes some is work!), video chatting with my family on my tablet, posting vacation pictures, and commenting on the accommodations on social media sites. I also trust that the hotel is protecting my information that I am sharing with them for my loyalty points.
