Over the River and Through the Woods!

Are you thinking that last part of  “through the woods” is not really in the spirit of the Holiday Season? When you said you would be spending time on the computer this Holiday Season—fixing your computer probably isn’t what you meant!

This is a critical time of year for SMB owners and employees to catch up on those “important but not urgent” items that need to be addressed. You don’t need to waste your time on petty computer problems. Many have found it smart to outsource this type of work. The legendary business consultant, Peter Drucker, repeatedly told us about the importance of doing what you do best and outsourcing the rest.

When it comes to trying to fix computer problems on my own, I have to say, “Been there and won the tee-shirt myself” more than a few times. As I am not one who gets into all the football games (I’m in the minority in that camp amongst my family and friends), I rather enjoy catching up on all kinds of important activities that are personal and relaxing instead. This is my ideal during this time of the year—when others are distracted watching football games.  Perhaps you can relate.

Trying to tie up loose ends and close out outstanding items and issues is a good way to begin the New Year with a fresh start.  However, I have had my fair share of spending time trying to download new software or patches to fix my computer. I’ve also spent time making some bargain purchases at the end of the year before the BIG sale ends.

To say that spending time with a tech over the phone is really not my idea of fun is an understatement. You probably have better things to do with your time than spend countless hours trying to resolve basic computer problems. You should focus on your business — or at this time of year focus on that much-needed and well-deserved time with family, friends and just plain relaxing. Hey, you know January is coming and you’ll be back in the “mad dash” of business. Now is the time to rest and rejuvenate so you’ll be ready for whatever the New Year holds!

Many have discovered the convenience of scheduling appointments to have computer service done on their computer when it is not being used. This can include times when you are  preparing a meal or baking! With a convenient support service you have a tech call when an issue has been resolved and you are able to spend your time with more productive — and enjoyable — tasks.

Having a service like this  is almost like having a virtual IT person at my beck and call. This gives me the convenience of spending time on more important matters. At this important time of year, it is vital for your business functionality next year to have plenty of “you” time catching up, relaxing and doing those important personal agenda items you put off during the rest of the year. Many have found AT&T’s Tech Support 360 to be a reliable and business-smart choice. Watch this short video and consider if this type of support would fit in line with your business — particularly during this important time of the year.

So, how are you planning to spend “you” time during this important time of year?  How are you outsourcing the tedious computer tech support issues that need to be done without sacrificing your personal productivity time?  We’d love to hear from you.
